How to Authenticate with Sony Account (previously referred to as Sony ID)

Ci supports authentication with Sony Accounts.  Already have a PlayStation Network, Sony store, or Sony Rewards account?  Perfect!  By linking a Sony Account, you will be able to sign in to Ci using the same sign-in ID and password that you use for other participating Sony group services. New Ci users can also sign up using their Sony Account or create a new Sony Account directly from the Ci registration page!

In this article, we'll walk you through how to connect (or create) a Sony Account in Ci.  To learn more about Sony Account, there are two additional articles that can be helpful: What is Sony Account & Sony Account FAQs

Note: If you login through your company’s Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication to Ci, you will not see an option to authenticate with Sony Accounts and will continue to use your company's SSO.

Connect With Existing Ci Account

Upon logging into Ci, click the Avatar Icon near the bottom-left corner of the UI and select Account Settings.  In the left-hand navigation menu, select Sign In & Security and scroll to the bottom of the page until you see SONY ACCOUNT and click the Connect link:

You will be redirected into your personal Workspace in Ci.  If you go back to your Account Settings, select Sign In & Security, and scroll to the bottom of the page, you'll notice your Sony ID email address is populated and connected to your Ci account.

Connect Without Existing Ci Account

Don't have an existing Ci Account? No problem! Connecting your Sony Account from the Ci registration page will automatically create a new account in Ci using your Sony Account and password. First, go to https://app.cimediacloud.com/account?v=login and select 9.png.  You'll be directed through the same steps we outlined above (see Figures 2 - 6).  If you don't have an existing Ci account or Sony Account, you can create both accounts by clicking the same "Sign in with SONY Account" button on the Ci Sign In/Registration page. In the resulting page, select Create Account near the bottom of the page (see Figure 2) and follow the instructions.  Once you've successfully created a Sony Account, you will automatically be taken into your new Ci account.

Note: If you choose to log out, please note that you must always use the 9.png button to log back into your Ci account:
