It is possible to upload video files into Ci from select model cameras via the Content Browser Mobile (CBM) smartphone application.
Your camera can be remotely controlled from a smartphone or tablet (iOS or Android) via a Wireless or Wi-Fi connection using the Content Browser Mobile application. Files can be uploaded to Ci via the Content Browser Mobile via a proxy generated on either the CBK-WA100/101 adapter or through the built-in firmware on various camera as well as selecting hi-res clips from the camera card slots directly. The SONY PXW-180, PXW-X200, PXW-X400, PXW-X500, PXW-Z450, PXW-Z750 and any cameras configured with the CBK-WA100/101 support the direct to SONY | Ci upload capability from the camera to the cloud.
Just go to the menu in the CBM and select Device Settings to put in your username and password for the Ci option for uploading. In order to upload to a Team Workspace or even a specific folder in a Team Workspace, please use the File Request feature to direct where you want the files to upload to. The resulting 8 digit code at the end of the File Request link is a pairing code for the Camera. You can simply put in that code as the username and no password in order to complete the linking in station mode in the CBM. We enable the ability to transfer to Ci via HTTPS which allows for security and encryption. You do not need to select FTP. We also do offer FTPS upload capabilities in select Sony Professional Cameras that have that option enabled. The FTPS functionality is capable from the PXW-Z280, PXW-FX9, PXW-Z90, PXW-X70, PXW-Z150, and the PXW-FS5.
